1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the BYST App (“App”), operated by BYST.

By registering for or using the App, users agree to comply with these Terms, the BYST Privacy Policy and other applicable platform policies.

If a user does not agree with these Terms, they should not use the App.

2. Purpose of the App

The BYST App is intended to facilitate mentoring, communication, learning, collaboration and knowledge-sharing among authorised BYST community members.

Depending on their access permissions, users may be able to:

• Connect with mentors and other community members.
• Participate in discussions and community activities.
• Access learning materials and shared resources.
• Participate in events, surveys and programmes.
• Share information, documents and feedback.
• Receive announcements and platform updates.

The features available to each user may depend on their membership and assigned permissions.

3. Eligibility and User Accounts

Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

Users must keep their account credentials confidential and must not allow unauthorised individuals to use their accounts.

Access for individuals under 18 will be governed by applicable law, the BYST age eligibility rules and any required parental or guardian consent.

4. Acceptable Use

Users agree to use the App responsibly and for its intended mentoring and community purposes.

Users must not:

• Post unlawful, misleading, fraudulent or defamatory content.
• Harass, threaten, bully or intimidate other users.
• Share another person’s personal information without proper authority.
• Upload malicious software or attempt to compromise the platform.
• Impersonate another individual or organisation.
• Use the App for spam, scams or unauthorised commercial activities.
• Post content involving child sexual abuse or exploitation.
• Use the platform to groom, exploit or endanger minors.
• Violate intellectual property or other legal rights.

5. User-Generated Content

Users may submit posts, comments, messages, documents, images and other content through the App.

Users remain responsible for the content they submit and must have the necessary rights and permissions to share it.

Users must not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, exploitative or otherwise prohibited by these Terms.

BYST may review, restrict, remove or disable access to content that violates these Terms or applicable law, subject to applicable procedures.

6. Community Conduct and Communication

Users must communicate respectfully and professionally.

Private messages, discussions and shared content must not be used to harass, exploit, threaten or deceive other users.

Users should report suspicious or inappropriate behaviour through the available reporting channels.

7. Intellectual Property

The BYST name, logo, branding, platform materials and other content owned by BYST are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users must not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit BYST-owned materials without appropriate authorisation.

Users retain rights in their own content, subject to the permissions necessary for BYST to operate and provide the App’s features.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party services, including Zoho Connect and other technology providers.

Use of those services may also be subject to the applicable third-party terms and privacy notices.

BYST will provide information about relevant third-party processing in its Privacy Policy.

9. Suspension and Termination

BYST may restrict, suspend or terminate access to an account where there is a reasonable basis to believe that a user:

• Has violated these Terms.
• Has engaged in unlawful or harmful activity.
• Has compromised platform security.
• Has misused the platform or endangered other users.
• Is required to be restricted under applicable law.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, BYST may provide notice or an opportunity to respond.

10. Availability of Services

BYST will make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of the App. However, uninterrupted or error-free service cannot be guaranteed.

Maintenance, technical issues, third-party outages or security measures may temporarily affect access.

11. Account Deletion

Users may request account deletion through:

Account deletion and retention of information will be handled in accordance with the BYST Privacy Policy and applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

BYST may update these Terms when necessary. Updated Terms will be published on this webpage with a revised date.

Continued use of the App after applicable changes take effect will be subject to the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by the laws of India.

The appropriate jurisdiction and dispute-resolution provisions will be determined by BYST’s legal team and inserted here.
